A pair of antique 18th century Bidriware vases originating from India. One with lid and one without, they are extremely old and finding them with lids seem to be very rare.
beautiful intricate patterns of florals and fish adorn these vases.
Bidriware is a metal handicraft from Bidar. It was developed in the 14th century C.E. during the rule of the Bahamani Sultans.
We believe the vases to be bronze with inlaid silver work.
They would make stunning decorative pieces as well as functional bud vases. Also a great item for keen collectors of Indian antiques.

As seen in the images there is wear to them in places so they have lost the dark colouring mainly on the necks of the vase.
